Concrete Commercial Director

At Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, we are looking for a Concrete Commercial Director to join our team with a focus on growing the business across the UK & Ireland as well as driving the development of new products and technologies for our customers. You will ensure the delivery, coordination, management and lead the concrete business initiatives with key customer accounts to develop and deliver strategic plans for profitable growth. You'll be a practiced senior salesperson who is highly customer focused, able to anticipate and adapt to customer needs and expectations and develop and maintain customer relationships. You will have strong leadership and management experience and will have previously worked within the concrete and/or cement industry. The role is home based but national travel would be required. What we're looking for: 3-5 years' experience of working within the concrete and/or cement industry Strong leadership ability to deliver results through others, with an ability to develop and manage performance within a commercial team Ability to work collaboratively with internal functions and departments such as; Sales, Marketing, Technical Services and Product Management Professional approach and good communication skills across all levels What will you be doing: Mentoring and developing the knowledge of the Construction Chemicals UKI sales team in concrete to enable them to support sales targets Working with Key Account and Precast Development Manager to develop a strategy that delivers on major accounts and major projects delivering growth in market share and reputation of the business Ensuring the team maintains a detailed pipeline of short, mid and long-term opportunities Drive innovative product portfolio to meet the needs of the customers and sustainability Tracking progress against objectives, conducting monthly 1-2-1 with team members along with yearly and half-yearly appraisals Are Construction Chemicals and Saint-Gobain inclusive employers?
