Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.

As an Experienced CNC Turning Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator
? Programming, setting, and operating fixed head machines
? Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
? Produce prototypes / small production runs
? Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
? Maintain clean and tidy stations
? Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
? Training Other members of the Turning section in programming and setting machines
? Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.
What’s the job?
? Relevant Engineering Qualification
? Ideally Apprentice Trained
? Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
? Competent in Fanuc controls and programming
? Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
? Able to move offsets
? Able to prove unproven programs, safely
? Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
? Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (essential)
? Conversant with STAR Sliding Head Lathe (Preferable)
? CAM experience (Preferable)
? Multi-axis and sub-spindle
? Working to tight tolerances
? Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
? Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
