Exciting Opportunity: Capital Works Project Lead ?? Are you a skilled and experienced Project Leader with a passion for housing and construction? Our client, a renowned organisation in the housing industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Capital Works Project Lead. ?? ?? About the Organisation: Our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional projects as part of their Capital Investment Programme ???. They prioritise customer satisfaction, quality control, and health and safety, making them a market leader in the sector. ?? Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, from inception to completion. Assist in the implementation of financial and procurement controls, including valuations, variations, payments, and invoices. Ensure compliance with building regulations and statutory legislation, enabling effective procurement of contract works. Foster a positive climate within the team, encouraging performance improvement across all disciplines. Monitor works on-site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and reporting any breaches promptly. Provide recommendations, both written and verbal, on quality and contractual compliance. Deliver outstanding service to customers, consistently meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.? Requirements: Construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC/HND) or equivalent. Experience as a Building Surveyor on Capital Investment Projects, maintenance, or refurbishment contracts. SMETS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Strong understanding of cost evaluation, project control, and contractor performance in a social housing environment. Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation, especially the Construction, Design Management regulations 2015 (CDM). Excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively and achieve successful outcomes. Experience managing projects using JCT Standard Building Contracts, including Minor Works, Design and Build, and Measured Term contracts.
