About the Role The Envoy Mobile app is the entry point for employee interactions. Its functionality is constantly expanding and evolving as we seek to create the best experience possible for our users. As an iOS engineer, you’ll be directly responsible for building core product features, collecting and evaluating metrics that determine their impact to the business, and raising the bar for our app’s quality. Our engineers own the full development and release cycle and are empowered to make any technical or process changes to improve the velocity of the team. We are a peer-review, CI-invested, collaborative culture. Envoy Mobile app is a rapidly expanding product suite, and our tech stack has been shaped by this environment. The codebase is built up by a list of modules, each responsible for a feature or product, and are brought together using dependency injection. Much of the app is built using reactive programming, utilizing an internal component-driven UI framework to speed up feature development. Swift 5 GraphQLn + Apollo RxSwift Cleanse SwiftUI LaserDisc- Automated test recording Embassy- Embedded web server in Swift Ambassador- Lightweight Swift web framework This is a hybrid position that requires at least 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ. You will Work with other engineers, designers, and product managers to develop excellent product experiences Help us to scale the Envoy mobile app’s usage to tens of thousands of customers Design core iOS application components to support the user features Conduct technical design and code reviews, share your knowledge and experience over wide organization Architect and design backend components (e.g. REST, GraphQL endpoints) to drive the mobile experience. Be an architectural leader for the engineering organization. You are A self-starter who chooses action. You have 6+ years of experience with iOS Development and are proficient in Swift BS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical field Published and maintained one or more apps in the App Store Experience with functional reactive programming (RxSwift, Combine, reactivex.io) Enjoy working on products that are used every day by people around the world Are comfortable with ambiguity and can leverage your experience to make rock-solid engineering and product decisions Appreciate a fast-paced environment that values iteration Experience leading large projects from a technical perspective (preferably across multiple teams) Solid experience designing and consuming APIs (REST, JSON/HTTP, GraphQL) Strong communication skills - the ability to articulate your ideas clearly Nice to have Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), iBeacons, or Near-Field Communication (NFC) Experience with location services Experience working in large mobile codebases Experience working on backend services (Ruby on Rails and/or Kotlin) Experience with Android development Experience working with mobile continuous integration Track record of building enterprise-grade software (building systems that are highly secure, scalable, available, and performant) You'll get A high degree of trust in your ideas and execution An opportunity to partner and collaborate with other talented people An inclusive community where you feel welcomed and cared for as a person The ability to make an immediate impact helping customers create a great workplace experience Support for your personal and professional growth #J-18808-Ljbffr
