This company provides residential living facilities for young adults between the ages of 19 – 30. You will be working with young adults with profound learning difficulties and complex health needs; Some adults are very independent others require more support and some non-verbal, use Makaton (training provided). We currently have some fantastic opportunities for fun, energetic and committed people to join their team as Adult Support Worker’s at their specialist facilities. You will help the residents everyday with personal care and all aspects of home life as an Adult Support Worker for their speciality home. From getting dressed and doing laundry in the morning to attending therapy sessions during the day to going to bed at night, you will be always offering outstanding care. There is a forestry school, sensory skills, a skills centre that teaches life skills, arts & crafts, cooking, and the value of money at this adult home, which is a place of joy and empowerment. All of this is done to encourage resident independence. You will be responsible for a variety of duties around the home, but the main duties will include: * Ensuring care plans for young people are delivered effectively. * Working closely with residents to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential. * Attend to the practical, physical, and emotional needs including personal care. * Completing written reports and documentation daily * Liaison with families and other health professionals * Work shift patterns including alternate weekends. Shift times are stated below: * 8:00am – 9:00pm (day shift) * 8:00am – 4.30pm (day shift) * 12:30pm – 9:00pm (day shift) * 9:00pm – 7.30am (night shift) * 8.45pm - 8.15am (night shift) The successful Support Worker will be someone who is passionate about caring for others and assisting them to grow and develop. They should be committed to always providing outstanding levels of care and work towards this through empowering and promoting positivity throughout the home. In return for this excellent opportunity, our client is offering to pay between £11 and £11.45 per hour for this fantastic opportunity, depending on the applicant's qualifications, experience, and work schedule.
