Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: Saffron Walden Primary School Start Date: ASAP Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team after the February half term. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with a range of learning needs, ensuring they have equal access to education and opportunities for success. We are seeking individuals with a passion for Primary Education. Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities: Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individualized learning plans for students with special educational needs. Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions to help students overcome learning barriers and achieve academic progress. Assist in the creation and adaptation of learning materials to suit students' individual needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected. Collaborate with other members of the school staff, including SENCOs and external agencies, to ensure the provision of comprehensive support for students. Learning Support Assistant Requirements: Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a primary school setting. A passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting their well-being and academic development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing learning challenges. Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
