Pre-Construction Manager Construction (Build) Competitive Salary up to £95,000 plus Car/Allowance and package The Company: Are you an Pre-Con Commercial Manager or a Cost Planner looking for a new role/challenge? Or are you a Commercial Manager that has operated in a Pre-Construction capacity? Our client are a Tier 1 Main Contractor with multiple regional offices around the country. They operate within a variety of business sectors including; Commercial, Education, M.O.J, M.O.D, Prison Service and deliver New Build & Refurbishment projects ranging up to the value of £150 million. I am currently partnered with their South Midlands region, who have 2 regional offices located Gloucestershire and Oxford. They currently enjoy a combined turnover of £80 million and have a solid and secure order book going forward. The combined region is looking for a Pre-Construction Commercial Manager to work closely within the work winning department. The ideal candidate will come from a Commercial background with pre-construction experience or potentially cost planning. About You: Previous substantial commercial management experience with a QS or estimation background. Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and persuade Strong experience of NEC contracts Good communication and customer facing skills A good understanding of the construction industry Experience of winning and managing pre-construction projects About your experience: Reviewing and negotiating construction contracts at pre-construction stage Identifying and addressing commercial risks in contracts Ensuring warranties and bonds are in place to maintain cashflow Negotiating terms to maximise income and to ensure favourable contract positions Working and liaising with experienced estimation and sales teams Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Working closely with internal departments, providing practical legal support, to ensure successful, profitable work is won.
