Technical Design Manager

Technical Manager / Design Manager / Design Engineering Manager required to join a market leading HVAC manufacturer.

Technical Manager / Design Manager / Design Engineering Manager will work on a hybrid basis out of the Solihull, Birmingham office managing a small team of design engineers and CAD engineers with responsibility to oversee full project lifecycle including drawing, calculation, detailed specification of HVAC solutions such as ventilation, air distribution, heat pump, pipe systems and control systems.

This Technical Manager / Technical Design Manager / Design Engineer will ideally have a strong technical design background coming from building services engineering and/or mechanical engineering industry with HVAC solutions and control systems knowledge.

Package

• £65,000-£75,000 depending on experience

Technical Manager / Technical Design Manager / Design Engineer Role

• Taking the lead and managing bespoke HVAC design projects from inception to handover.
• Managing a small team of design engineers and CAD engineers
• Responsible for overseeing technical drawings, calculations, detailed specification of HVAC solutions such as ventilation, air distribution, heat pump, pipe systems and control systems.
• Work closely with HVAC clients and suppliers to ensure project delivery.
• Providing technical leadership and pushing design innovation and efficiency.
• Commutable to the office on a hybrid basis in Solihull, Birmingham.

Technical Manager / Technical Design Manager / Design Engineer Requirements

• Experienced as a Technical Manager, Technical Design Manager, Design Manager, Design Engineering Manager, Design Team Lead or similar within HVAC solutions and/or control systems.
• Design software capability on systems such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES or similar thermal modelling tools for HVAC solutions such as ventilation, air distribution, heat pump, pipe systems and control systems.
• Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable HVAC solutions specialist.
• Possessing Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree or higher level education qualification is preferred.
• Design Engineers seeking progression into a Technical Manager position are encouraged to apply.
