Construction Manager Introduction This is a unique opportunity for someone with a hunger to grow, and with experience in commercial interior construction in the UK, to take the lead of the Construction delivery arm of the business and grow into the role of Head of Construction. We expect the role to develop the construction arm, set precedence in the business, and recruit more roles to grow the construction arm as well as further our vision. Construction Manager Role and Responsibilities: We are a small but growing team of 6 and your role will require you taking responsibility of 2 projects (£100 to £500k), and small local projects from start through to finish. You will be expected to manage the entire site, communication, contractors through to quality control and handover. * Lead the growth of Maple People construction arm. * Deliver multiple fit-out CAT A projects simultaneously (2 large up to £500k, and 2 small from £5k). * Project and site management as required: full cycle including pre-construction. * Conduct Project Meetings, take notes and monitor actions. * Site logistics, orders, building management liaison, and communication. * Health & Safety management, as well as site cleanliness (VERY important) * Recruit and directly manage construction staff, and contractors. * Contribute towards Upcycling materials including logistics and pricing. * Support project bids and manage pre-construction processes in conjunction with CEO. * Ensure projects are delivered to a high (Maple) standard, on time, and budget. * Assess failures, identify reasons, design, and implement fixes as part of our ISOs. * Refine and implement business growth plans agreed with CEO. * The individual must be able to get hands-on with projects when needed. Experience: * Minimum 5 years of construction management experience in the UK: commercial interiors. * Minimum 3 years of Design & Build interior construction experience in the UK. * Computer Literacy – Outlook, Word, Excel, Reporting and emails. * Experience in innovative thinking and problem solving (you will be asked for examples). * Full construction management – start to finish examples will be required. * Evidence of successful initiatives implemented in construction.
