PCB Design Technical Lead Contract - Space

PCB Design Technical Lead 12 Month Contract - Switzerland iO Associates' client in the Space sector is seeking a Lead PCB Designer for a 12 month on-site contract, with the strong likelihood of extension, paying up to 95CHF per hour, 42 hours per week. The role will require you to spend approximately 25% of your time leading (from a technical point of view) a team of 6 in the design of PCBs, and the remaining 75% of your time as a hands-on designer yourself. Responsibilities will include:Requirements definition at electronics board levelDetailed design, including trade-off, analysis, schematics capturingVerification of electrical circuits by review, analysis and simulationCoordination of Unit Interface Equipment (UIE) / EGSE definition and commissioningPrototype and Flight electronics commissioning and testingAssembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) supportEstablish and maintain engineering plans and activities schedules (e.g. in MS Project)Coordination of a small team of development engineersEstablish and maintain progress reportsLiaise with Line Managers and project core teamLead Engineering TasksDelegate work to the team mates in PCB/CCA domainEnsure process adherence in the electronics developmentTimely reporting/flagging to team leadersPreliminary internal design reviews (schematics, layout, manufacturing files), checkpoint to release for project review teamLead of internal design reviews (schematics, layout, manufacturing files)Introduction requests and part reviews (internal gates)Building-blocks maintenance (also in view of proposals for new designs)We are looking for a PCB Designer with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience, who has led a team, and has strong experience in either:Siemens Xpedition and work to Safety Critical StandardsORSpace or Deep-space projects, such as satellites, telescopes, orbital spacecraft etc.Due to Swiss employment law, applicants are required to have either a Swiss or EU Passport, or already hold a Swiss residence permit.If you meet the above criteria, are happy to work on-site in Zurich, and would like to know more about the role, please submit your CV and availability to speak. #J-18808-Ljbffr
