Director – Infrastructure Division (PRE111323)Job Description:Reports to: The Director in the President’s Department.Responsibilities:Develops and implements operational processes for the Infrastructure Department;Monitors the implementation of projects;Works in collaboration with relevant Makivvik departments; Human Resources, Finance, Legal and all other subsidiaries of the organization;Submits regular progress reports to the Director of the President’s Department;Elaborates and monitors production schedules, critical paths for projects, and cost control to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget;Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the planning, organization, and implementation of construction and renovation projects;Accepts intake of invoices received from consultants, contractors, and suppliers; verifies they are eligible for ICIF funding, and submits recommendation of payment to Makivvik Finance Department;Authorizes and validates invoices received from consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure that they are in accordance with the respective contracts;Provides support to the Infrastructure Division team members to ensure effective and consistent development and applications based on the eligibility criteria;Represents Makivvik with other stakeholders, committees, and government entities;Be available to travel, as requested;Any other related duties requested by the supervisor.Qualifications:University degree in architecture or engineering;Five (5) years of relevant experience;Good communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English, and/or French;Understanding of Nunavik/construction in arctic conditions is an asset;Strong organizational and coordination skills, with knowledge of project management;Experience working in a multi-cultural environment is an asset;Ability to work on various projects with a results-oriented mindset;Demonstrated skills in negotiation/conflict resolution and interpersonal communications.Inuit Beneficiary hiring will always be a priority at Makivvik.Training will be available for Beneficiaries in the advancement of their career.All marginal benefits available to employees of Makivvik as outlined in the Makivvik Human Resources Policy Manual.It is the Corporation’s objective to favor and promote the employment of Inuit beneficiaries of the JBNQA.We thank all applicants for their interest in this position.Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
