Staff Software Engineer - Vehicle Applications

As a part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, from conception to deployment. This position will work in or around the surrounding areas of Mississauga, Canada. Duties and Responsibilities Develop high-quality and high-performance in-vehicle application software for software-defined vehicles.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Design and develop scalable software solutions to meet stringent automotive requirements.Conduct design and code reviews.Maintain and support software deployed on production vehicles.Develop and maintain unit and integration test cases to ensure code quality.Create and maintain technical documentation.Ensure best practices in software development.Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Collaborate with team members both within and across projects. Mentor junior engineers. Qualifications and Experience A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.8+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.Solid C++ programming experience.Extensive experience in systems design, multithreading, and concurrent programming.Experience with Python and shell scripting languages.Experience in designing data-intensive applications.Experience in Linux, Android, and/or other POSIX operating systems.Experience with networking technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, HTTP.Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
