Design Manager – Power Transmission & Distribution Sector We are seeking an experienced Design Manager in Glasgow to lead and deliver engineering design projects within the UK power transmission and distribution sector. In this role, you will manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring best practices in project management, safety, health, environmental management, and sustainability are met. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the delivery of design projects, including planning, estimating, and construction support. * Ensure project compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. * Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders. * Drive a culture of technical excellence, safety, and innovation. * Lead project and client meetings, and support proposal preparation and contract negotiations. * Support business development by nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities. * Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and technical support. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in engineering design services. * Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental legislation, and NEC contracts. * Experience working on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects. * Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. * Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH). This is a 6+ month contract role, offering a competitive day rate of £(Apply online only), with the possibility of a permanent position.
