The Role

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will create active relationships within the finance team and across the wider company. You’ll perform regular finance tasks to support reporting and will take on tasks from the finance team on a planned and ad-hoc basis
You role will include:
- Support with accounting including preparation of accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and management accounts
- Prepare and assist with the production of regular and ad-hic financial and management information reports
- Be responsible for the reconciliation of accounts related to the General Ledger
- Assist with the preparation of regulatory returns
- Assist with the preparation of information for responses to external audit
- Support ad-hoc accounting projects as requested

To be successful as our Accounting Assistant, you’ll be part-qualified (Acca or AAT) or qualified by experience with experience in an accounting role, ideally within the financial services sector. You will hold a minimum of Grade 7 (A) in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent) and ideally hold A Level Mathematics.
- You have a working understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles and relevant standards
- You’re able to analyse financial data and prepare relevant reports
- You’re proficient across MS Office with a minimum of intermediate MS Excel skill
- You have the ability to work to deadlines, managing and prioritising your workloads effectively
- You pay attention to detail, maintaining a high standard of accuracy in your work.
