DevOps Engineer

The DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging the operations and development teams, facilitating faster and more efficient development cycles and deployment processes. This position is responsible for implementing and managing continuous delivery systems and methodologies on cloud platforms, automating and streamlining operations and processes, and setting up and managing tools for version control, deployment, monitoring, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, system administration, and a deep understanding of automation tools, with an eagerness to adopt new technologies and a passion for innovation and efficiency.Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software.Automate configuration, deployment, and scaling processes of applications across multiple environments.Work closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes and strategies to meet our feature requirements.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.Improve infrastructure development and application development.Facilitate the development and testing of Docker containers for all our services.Manage live product environments, ensuring maximum stability, performance, and security.Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards and make recommendations for improvement.Develop and maintain documentation of the CI/CD process and frequently update the best practices and strategies.Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and data security. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.3+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role, or equivalent software engineering role.Experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus.Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or an equivalent.Strong knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools.Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, or Shell scripting.Familiarity with network protocols and services (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, FTP, SMTP).Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to dive into the detail of systems and technologies.
