This is a great chance to join a fabulous nursery close to Bermondsey as a Nursery Practitioner where no day is ever the same!

This is a spacious, airy setting, with separate rooms for different age groups and two gardens. The caring, experienced team will make you feel at home from your very first day. With strong links to the local community, the children enjoy construction, gardening, science, arts, cooking and more and the nursery’s on-site chef prepares home-cooked meals and snacks from a nutritious menu. The site is close to the tube and overland trains and has lots of local amenities.
As a Nursery Practitioner you will ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development. You will feed the childrens’ curiosities and stretch their imaginations with creative and fun-filled learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all children attending the nursery receive rich and stimulating experiences which contribute to their stage of development
  • Support the Room Leader in planning and implementing the curriculum
  • Build positive working relationships with the team, Parents and Carers, with open and clear communication
  • Uphold the nursery’s high standards, following company policies, procedures and operating practice
  • Mentor more junior members of the room staff so they can grow and develop their capabilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Hold a relevant and recognised childcare qualification at level 3 or above
  • Have meaningful experience of working with children in a nursery setting
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with colleagues, parents, carers and children
  • Good organisational, record keeping and planning skills
  • Able to work as part of a collaborative team
