Job Summary: Lead Nurse PSR Solutions are excited to be working with a specialist college near the Harrogate in North Yorkshire to assist in expanding their health care team. We're on the lookout for exceptionally motivated and dynamic Lead Nurses. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with extensive nursing knowledge and experience to take a pivotal role in steering the clinical team towards the development of health care plans and risk assessments for our students, who exhibit a diverse array of clinical needs. This newly crafted role places a significant emphasis on quality and the maintenance of safe practice. You'll find yourself at the forefront of our mission, with access to specialist training and supervision designed to ensure we are always implementing the latest research-based practices. Your contributions will be vital in addressing the holistic and sometimes complex health needs of our students, who are young adults aged between 16 and 25 with various learning disabilities. This includes both day and residential students, as well as those requiring respite stays, making this a role that demands excellent planning and organisational skills. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the clinical team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Lead in the organisation and completion of assessments of the clinical health needs of potential students Support the Clinical Education Lead and care managers to identify suitable staff for training to work with any student with health needs in order to deliver a professional and safe service Maintain a strong focus on quality and safe practice. Ensure all students with health needs have comprehensive, up to date and holistic Clinical/ health needs care plans in place. Plan and organise care for young adults aged 16-25 with a range of learning disabilities, including day students, residential students, and those requiring respite care. This role requires flexible working with a requirement to work a minimum of 1 late shift per week and 1 weekend per half term.Qualifications and Skills: Registered Nurse with a broad range of clinical experience and an active NMC PIN Experience of assessing clinical risk and completing comprehensive risk assessments Experience of line managing staff or willingness to be trained in line management and delivery of comprehensive range of HR services Extensive clinical experience and knowledge of a range of clinical conditions and procedures Understanding of Clinical Governance and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety/CQC Understanding of Child Protection/Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults policies and procedures Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent planning and organisational abilities. Strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.
