Job Title: Supported Housing Worker Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £24,500 per annum P4 are recruiting for a Supported Housing Worker for a charity client in Shepton Mallet. In this role you will support help deliver high quality off the street accommodation for rough sleepers. Additional Information: * Travel required across Mendip to cover accommodation in two locations * Participation in an on-call rota (1 in every 4 weeks), with an additional £100 per week when on-call * Participation in a rostered system of working with shifts between 08:00 AM and 20:00 PM, including weekend work (every other weekend) Responsibilities: * Deliver a high-quality off-the-street accommodation service for individuals rough sleeping within Mendip * Complete holistic assessments for clients, leading to the development of support plans that meet individual client goals * Build positive and effective working relationships and agreements with relevant external agencies * Provide clients with advice, information, and enabling services so they can be signposted to and access appropriate services to develop independence * Provide an effective Housing Management service for clients and identified properties * Carry out, within reason, any other duties necessary to achieve the smooth running of the service and undertake other organizational duties, broadly in line with the above key responsibilities Requirements: * A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle – business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work * Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion and approaches that seek to address these Benefits: * Great opportunities for career development and free monthly training sessions from experienced facilitators * Sliding salary scale with salary increases every year for the first 3 years * Wellbeing-related support and advice, plus up to 6 free counseling sessions through our Employee Assistance Programme * 27 days annual leave, including an extra day off for your birthday, increasing up to 30 days after 4 years of continuous employment, plus bank holidays * 30% staff discount at Julian House charity shops * 20% staff discount at Julian House bike workshops * A generous and competitive pension scheme * Instant access to healthcare professionals and discounts on a variety of health treatments through our Simply Health Scheme * A supportive culture where staff feedback is highly valued and regular supervisions with line managers are conducted * 6-weekly Reflective Practice sessions from objective, external facilitators Join us and make a difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness in Mendip.
