Location: Hybrid working (Cambridge or London office) Job type: 6-Months Contract There is an opportunity to learn tax technical work throughout the contract and therefore the role may also involve the assistance of calculating tax liabilities, deductions, and credits to ensure accurate tax filings, and filling in tax forms. As you will provide general support to the tax team in assisting with administrative tasks, such as gathering financial information, inputting data into tax preparation software or spreadsheets, reviewing documents, and using the tax library to undertake research on tax laws and regulations. Role and responsibilities Liaising with the local finance teams to assisting with compilation of the compliance report for the network. Creation of a new efficient compliance reporting process. Acting as an additional point of contact for FSSC to help oversee the compliance process, identify gaps and rectify. Creating a standardised VAT return worksheet for FSSC. Creating entity specific tax controls for FSSC compliance. Drafting slides for training and board meeting presentations. VAT and other tax ERP coding review and managing necessary changes with the relevant point of contact. Follow up with respective departments that changes made relating to the various restricting projects are aligned with tax recommendations and compliance. Creation and implementation of a Bad Debt Relief policy/procedure. Working with the legal team to review tax clauses in legal contracts. CBAM review. What you'll bring 1-2 years experience in direct or indirect taxes. Fully or Part qualified Accountant. Tax or accounting qualifications, e.g. ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA. Finance Administrator experience with focus on Tax. Proficient in Microsoft Office. SAP or Oracle is desirable. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
