Behaviour Mentor

Progress Teachers are seeking a dynamic Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will work to support pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour, guiding them to engage positively with their learning and strive for academic and personal success. Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies. * Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans. * Monitor and assess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementing proactive interventions. * Organise and lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques. * Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support. * Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies. Qualifications / Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field. * Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting. * Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. * Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour support. * Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus. * A valid DBS on the Update Service OR be willingness to obtain.
