Intervention Support - Full-time, Long-term, SEMH School, October start - Temp to Perm - £90-£100 per day, Wandsworth Common The Role - Intervention Support As a Intervention Support, you will be responsible for supporting vulnerable students across a variety of age groups and abilities. The students have EHCPs and have been statemented with SEMH (Social and emotional mental health) therefore, you will need to have great communication skills, a nurturing approach to supporting students as well as confidence and professionalism in managing challenging behaviour and emotional triggers! This is a great opportunity to work on a long-term basis as an Intervention Support within a classroom based setting for any candidates from similar or relatable backgrounds such as; Youth work, social worker, young offenders, prisons, mental health settings, residential childrens homes, key workers, teaching assistants, sports coaching or outreach / project work. The School - Intervention Support This SEMH (Social and emotional mental health) school caters to boys across Primary, secondary and sixth form year groups. The school support academically but also offer therapuetic development too. They have a therapy farm attached to the school site which the staff and students access daily. The school is based in the borough of wandsworth and surrounding by a green leady area, local community shops and great transport links. The school is close to an overgound and undergroup station as well as local bus routes across London. The students at this school all have an EHCP and need Intervention Support and Teachers to create a safe learning envirnoment and offer a nurturing approach to their learning and development.
