Bouygues UK has a fantastic opportunity available for an MEP Engineer to join our post-completion team in London. The role will cover a number of projects and will require travel to sites within the M25. This position offers an opportunity to join an enthusiastic team, develop your skills and understanding of construction process and procedures, see the effects when errors happen, ensure robust rectification of defects and make a difference with your feedback to the business by intervention, education and prevention of future occurrences. Job Purpose and Scope: Identifying if a reported defect is a result of construction or design, searching project archives and carrying out site inspections/surveys. Working alongside production teams to develop a complete understanding of original design intent, procurement and delivery of all necessary rectification activities from design to completion.   Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Contributing to the wider business’ Getting It Right First Time approach. Review and acceptance of documentation to be transferred to Post Completion Department. Undertaking detailed As-Built design reviews. Ensures pre-handover meetings are scheduled with site teams and they are aware of the importance of the documentation that is to be submitted. Review of performance of Production Team and Sub-Contractors. Manages and monitors Clixifix (defect reporting software) specific to all projects under their responsibility. Managing contractual issues during DLP/LDP. Warranty Management during DLP/LDP. Arrange and attend Client Meetings. Investigates cause and remedy of defects reported on Clixifix or other official notices. Procures and manages Sub-Contractors. Manage Health & Safety on site. Review RAMS, identify if additional support for High-Risk Activities is required. Prepare purchase orders, work orders, and associated documentation with PCD Quantity Surveyor. Monitor and report on the work programme status, cost of works and performance of subcontractors. Manage quality on all PCD works undertaken. Feedback to Quality and Production Departs to prevent future defects. Review and approve applications for Subcontractor Payments. Compile Final Accounts for all Sub-Contract Works. Issue Quality Alerts and Bulletins on issues investigated as to cause, correction and lessons learnt. Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to achieve a mutually agreed outcome, ensuring client satisfaction. What you'll need: Essential: Able to work in a team, supporting project managers and support all departments when required. ONC/HNC or Degree in engineering discipline or relevant vocational qualification. Microsoft Office Applications. Location with access to sites within M25 Desirable:  Construction site/FM experience in MEP discipline.
