Senior Engineering Project Manager Location: North West based, ideally around the Wirral area Salary: £55K - £70K per annum, DOE + Benefits! We are now recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to assume responsibility for overseeing multiple strategic projects within the automation, engineering and construction sectors. Ensuring their alignment with our company vision and strategy. This role involves managing deliverables and milestones, coordinating new projects, overseeing lifecycle management, and implementing regular reporting mechanisms. In addition to this as our Senior Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for: • Managing multiple complex multidisciplinary projects • Directly liaising with senior client teams at Director and VP levels • Ensuring the highest standard of Health and Safety • Taking ownership of active risk management and mitigation planning • Conducting assessments to provide clients with innovative ideas and engineering improvements • Collaborating on feasibility studies with client teams to gather information for project development • Forecasting budgets and generating CAPEX • Developing detailed project plans with projected outcomes and contingency planning • Ensuring delivery of outcomes to regulatory standards and adhering to best practices • Coordinating work, ensuring alignment with other client members, project team members, and key stakeholders • Ensuring projects adhere to timelines and budgets • Project reporting • Controlling change requests affecting project deliverables as necessary • Ensuring projects deliver the expected outcomes and benefits • CDM requirements • Execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes • Advising on design, technical and procurement issues, including development of design brief and preparation of estimates of capital projects • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery • Overseeing a number of projects at any time, of varying timescales and complexities • Manage project sites on a day-to-day basis, including supervising and monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, overseeing quality control and maintaining health and safety, including site inspections • Act as principal contractor when appropriate under CDM regulations In order to be successful in this role you must have: • Preferably educated to degree level in an engineering setting or equivalent experience • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects • Strong individual with the ability to work independently or collaboratively with team members • Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail • Proactive and results-driven, fostering a collaborative and supportive attitude • Experience operating at strategic levels within an organisation, engaging with senior leaders • Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT skills • Flexibility to work across mainland UK based on client requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role It would be great if you had: • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (preferable) • Familiarity with APM or Prince 2 methodology (preferable) • ERP Systems (preferable) If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on “APPLY” today!
