Chief Actuarial Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuary to join our team at BDO UK, providing expert advice on a wide range of actuarial issues. As a key hire into the Actuarial team, you will be responsible for delivering growth and business development, leading and developing teams, and providing consulting services to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver growth and business development through strategic planning and execution
• Lead and develop teams to achieve business objectives
• Provide consulting services to clients on actuarial issues, including reserving, capital calculations, and Solvency II technical provisions
• Manage and deliver concurrent projects, ensuring timely and high-quality results
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Insurance Actuary qualification
• Proven track record of delivering growth and business development
• Proven people leadership experience, with a focus on team development and management
• Extensive consulting experience, with a strong understanding of actuarial principles and practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• IT literate, with expertise in MS Excel
