Job Requirements / Description
The Director, Global Institutional Partnerships will play a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with institutions worldwide to advance the organization's mission and objectives. Reporting to the Chief Partnerships Officer, the Director will lead a team dedicated to establishing and nurturing relationships with universities, NGOs, governmental bodies, and other relevant institutions. The role requires a dynamic individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for driving collaborative initiatives on a global scale. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Partnership Development:
  • Identify and prioritize potential institutional partners aligned with organizational goals and values.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy to expand the organization's network and impact.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders within partner institutions to foster collaboration and mutual understanding.
2. Negotiation and Agreement Management:
  • Lead negotiations of partnership agreements, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and align with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of partnership contracts, ensuring compliance and accountability on both sides.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine partnership agreements to optimize outcomes and address evolving needs.
3. Collaborative Initiatives:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and develop joint initiatives and programs with institutional partners.
  • Build initial revenues and then build a team to scale up operation.
  • Drive the implementation of collaborative projects, monitoring progress and ensuring alignment with agreed-upon objectives and timelines.
  • Facilitate communication and knowledge-sharing between partner institutions and internal teams to maximize impact and efficiency.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the global institutional partnerships team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Responsible to create business plan & get it approved by management.
  • Set clear performance goals and KPIs for team members, monitoring progress and providing regular feedback and support.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team in relationship management, negotiation, and partnership development.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Number of new institutional partnerships established annually.
  • Growth in the number of collaborative initiatives and joint programs with institutional partners.
  • Revenue generated or funding secured through institutional partnerships.
  • Percentage increase in the organization's global reach and impact through partnerships.
  • Partner satisfaction scores based on feedback and relationship assessments.
  • Timeliness and effectiveness in negotiating and executing partnership agreements.
  • Team performance metrics, including individual and collective targets related to partnership development, revenue generation, and project delivery.
  • Demonstrated alignment of partnership activities with organizational goals and priorities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in partnership development and management, preferably in a global context.
  • Strong understanding of institutional dynamics and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in partnership development and collaboration.
  • Fluency in multiple languages and international experience are assets.
