OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST UXBRIDGE & SUTTON LOCATIONS College & Academy Trust, an established family of specialist academies and college centres that provide for over 1500 pupils and students with a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs. Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential life skills, sensory regulation, and independence, ensuring they are able to access learning and thrive in all aspects of their school life. This role involves working closely with staff, students, and families to design and deliver individualised therapy interventions that align with each student’s needs. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct assessments and create individualised therapy plans • Deliver one-to-one and group therapy sessions • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, speech therapists, and other professionals to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines • Monitor and track student progress, adapting interventions as necessary • Provide training and guidance to staff on therapeutic strategies Requirements: • Degree in Occupational Therapy • Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists • Member of the Health Care Professions Council • At least 3 years post registration experience Duties - Conduct assessments to determine patients' needs and develop individualised treatment plans - Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical and mental well-being - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care - Provide guidance and support to patients and their families on therapy techniques and equipment usage - Maintain accurate patient records and progress reports - Stay updated on the latest medical imaging techniques and technologies Requirements - Previous experience in ICU or critical care settings is advantageous - Proficiency in speech therapy and medical terminology - Strong knowledge of anatomy and paediatric care - Excellent patient care skills with a focus on case management - Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment If you are a dedicated Occupational Therapist looking to make a positive impact on patients' lives, we welcome your application
