A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join our dedicated and enthusiastic Science Department at a thriving secondary school in the Lambeth area. About the Role: As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our teaching staff and ensuring the smooth running of practical science lessons. You will be responsible for: Preparing and setting up equipment, chemicals, and materials for laboratory lessons. Assisting teachers and students during experiments, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. Maintaining and organising the science laboratories, including equipment management and stock control. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. Supporting the department with administrative duties as required. About You: We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for science. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience working as a Science Technician or a similar role (though full training can be provided). A strong understanding of the scientific disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and a practical knowledge of lab procedures. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students. A commitment to maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for students. Relevant qualifications (e.g., A-levels in Science or equivalent; a degree in a scientific subject is desirable).Why Join Us?
