My Client, a tier 1 main contractor in construction, is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team for an exciting £60 million student accommodation project in Temple Quarter, Bristol. Role Overview: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in managing the financial aspects of our £60 million student accommodation project. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, working closely with experienced professionals on a landmark development in Bristol. Key Responsibilities: Assisting in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets Supporting the negotiation and management of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers Conducting cost analysis and value engineering assessments Monitoring project expenditures and assisting in cost control Preparing financial reports and forecasts Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project alignment Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Qualifications: A day release or undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Proven experience as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and negotiation abilities Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks About the package My client will offer up to £40K plus a car allowance and other benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Extensive work-from-home options and flexible working hours Opportunities for professional development and career advancement A dynamic and inclusive work environment Involvement in high-profile projects and diverse work experiences To Apply (url removed)
