As a Brand Localization Specialist, you are responsible for managing localization projects, ensuring language consistency, and maintaining our brand's tone of voice and creative intention across all languages. You will work cross functionally with internal teams and external vendors to ensure culturally relevant yet globally consistent communications.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Meet Your Future Team:
The Brand Integration team is focused on driving core brand projects in support of the global brand strategic priorities. We develop global connection to core brand DNA between regional marketing teams and the global Brand team by leveraging our understanding of the business, the brand, and the regions in which we operate. We work on brand defining initiatives, ensuring that our essential DNA is integrated into the most important work we do, and our employee experiences.
If you were the Brand Localization Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Managing localization projects from beginning to end, including Global and Seasonal Brand Campaigns, product content, website, and CRM email assets
- Overseeing QA/UAT workflows for localized assets
- Working closely with internal teams at HQ in Vancouver, localization contractors, and our translation agency to ensure that campaigns and assets are effectively localized and brand guidelines are met for all projects
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with regional teams, consistently collaborating to improve localized content and processes
- Contributing to the establishment and continuous improvement of our global Editorial Style Guides and Language Glossaries
- Understanding short and long-term business objectives and how they impact your work and work across channels
- Creating and delivering a regular cadence of reporting on current and year-in-review projects
- Utilizing data analytics to track and measure the success of our localization efforts and continuously improve how we work
- Supporting future planning to scale with the growth of the business globally
- You have bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in marketing or international business, communications, linguistics or a related field
- You have 3+ years' experience in a deadline-driven role with accountability for delivering projects with multiple components and multiple stakeholders and collaborators
- You are experienced in delivering global content and have a solid understanding of localization challenges
- You love working with languages, copy and getting deep into the nitty-gritty details of our content
- You are proficient in working with translation management software and project management tools e.g. Monday.com
- Proficiency in a second language and international experience is highly valued
- You are a creative as well as strategic thinker who can demonstrate strong organizational and management skills
- You set a clear vision, align your partners around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives
- You have superior verbal and written communication skills in English and ideally another language
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
