Role: Change Cost ControllerAboutOur client, a leading civil engineering and mining firm, is looking for a Cost Controller to join their team in British Columbia. The Change Controller performs change processes related to trends and project change notices on all Project Components (Pipeline, Tunnel, Facilities, and or Project-Wide)The ideal candidate should possess knowledge and experience in:Key Responsibilities:1. The Change Controller is responsible for maintaining the change control process by executing project-specific change control procedures, developing and maintaining the project change register, and tracking and updating trends and project change notices in the change register.2. Preparing monthly analyses of trends and project change notices, developing and maintaining bi-weekly and monthly change control reports, and monitoring and advancing project change notices throughout the review and approval process.3. Developing and maintaining contingency, escalation, and management reserve drawdown reports and performing monthly reconciliation of contingency drawdown.4. Supporting the Director of Project Services with monthly reconciliation of contingency drawdown and analysis of trends and project change notices, as well as assisting the EGP Project Controls Lead in developing management of change processes and procedures and implementing strategies to build a change control culture.5. Participating in project and component change-related meetings and discussions, supporting Project and Construction Managers in identifying schedule and cost-based changes, and developing project change notices.QualificationsMust have experience in Management of change process, Change control terminology, Trend and change directions, Trend and change statuses, Change reasons/categories and impacts, Change funding methods and sources, and Change thresholds and approvals.Minimum of three (3) years experience in cost control within relevant industries, demonstrating a solid understanding of cost control principles and practices.Proven experience as a Cost Controller or similar role, preferably within civil engineering or mining projects.Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project managers and stakeholders.Familiarity with natural gas pipeline projects and relevant industry standards and regulations.
