Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a fantastic School just outside Exeter. They are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join their Maintenance team on a full time, permanent contract working Monday to Friday. Key details, Maintenance Worker: Ref No. PK61605 * Full time, permanent role, * Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week * £25,002 per annum Job description As the full-time Maintenance Assistant you will take responsibility for resolving any maintenance concerns promptly, ensuring that the school is a clean and well-maintained environment for students and staff alike. You will have a working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements including, but not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry and interior/exterior finishes. You must have good knowledge of relevant health and safety and trade regulations and have the ability to assess and manage risk. Importantly, you must also have the ability to work on your own initiative and address potential issues as they may arise before they become a serious concern. You will be working for an established School with a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. Maintenance Assistant responsibilities * Identify and carry out repairs and improvements as required * Ensure a safe environment is maintained at all times, reporting and responding promptly to any incidents, accidents or issues raised. * Report into the Head of Maintenance and work collaboratively where required Maintenance Assistant skills/experience * Good general maintenance knowledge and skills * Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant, Handyman or similar is preferred * Relevant qualifications such as NVQ/Diploma/City & Guilds and Health & Safety/NEBOSH certificate (Preferred but not essential so long as you have relevant experience) For more information on this Maintenance Assistant role please call Phil King on (phone number removed)
