What You’ll Do
Gyptech is seeking a Procurement Specialist – Parts and Fabrication, this role will be reporting to the Sourcing Manager – Manufacturing and Parts. Your role will involve:

  • Support internal teams with proposals and RFQs by ensuring all fabrication and purchasing requirements are met
  • Reviewing drawing packages for accuracy, and ensuring there are no errors
  • Generating fabrication and purchasing RFQs and RFPs for internal teams
  • Issuing drawing packages for internal fabrication team
  • Communicating with stakeholders including vendors, customers, and internal teams regarding issued orders
  • Collaborating with the Gyptech Technical Services and Supply Chain team to order all required items and fabrication parts
  • Updating material descriptions in the ERP System
  • Issuing purchase orders to vendors once RFP/RFQ process is complete
  • Updating material router for the fabrication process of parts
  • Creating work orders for inventory replenishment

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington and will require travel to local manufacturing facilities on a regular basis. International travel may be required occasionally.

What You Offer

  •  A Mechanical Engineering or related Degree or Diploma
  •  Ability to read, interpret and edit engineering drawings
  •  Minimum of 2 years of experience working with AutoCAD software
  •  Minimum of 2 years experience working with an ERP or MRP Software
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  •  Experience issuing Purchase Orders, or working closely with buyers
  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  •  Ability to work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team
  •  Comfortability working in a manufacturing environment, with a commitment to safety
