Field Service Engineer

Job Role: Field Service Engineer Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire (accepting applications from surrounding counties) Salary: £30,000-£40,000 base salary (OTE £45,000+) Hours: 08.00-16.00 Monday-Friday + overtime @ 1.5x after 40 hours Job Type: Full time, Permanent The Company: A fantastic opportunity to join a market leading national organisation specialising in the production and repair of bespoke & specialised manufacturing machinery around the UK. This field position would be ideal for an experienced Field/Maintenance Engineer with knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & repair on a variety of production machinery. The Benefits: · Salary between £30,000-£40,000 dependent on experience (OTE £45,000+ with travel time paid + overtime) · 33 days including public holidays · Overtime always available at 1.5x after 40 hours - current engineers average 46 hours worked per week · Company car/van provided with fuel, travel and accommodation paid for + £25 food allowance when staying overnight · Paid door to door - always earning when travelling · Company pension scheme · Ongoing commitment to training and progression · Health Assurance & Bike to work scheme The Role: · Carry out maintenance & repairs on a variety of CNC & Sawing machinery at client premises nationwide, staying away where required with accommodation and travel paid for (1/2 weeks per month) · Electrical & Mechanical fault finding, maintenance and repair on manufacturing machinery · Liaise with clients to ensure a high quality of service whilst proceeding to carry out repairs on machinery. · Work within the workshop in Kettering to resolve more difficult problems on manufacturing machinery as efficiently and effectively as possible. · Travel to site either from the office or from home (travel time paid door to door) · Order necessary parts when needed to effectively carry out repairs The Requirements: · Previous experience as a field/site based engineer carrying out mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance (essential) · Electrical & Mechanical Fault finding knowledge and proven experience (essential) · Happy with both field based and site based work (essential) · Ability to read & work from drawings (essential) · Ability to work as part of a team & alone when needed. · Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQs) would be advantageous but not essential. · Understanding of machinery assembly & maintenance (advantageous) Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across the majority of industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
