ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is one of the best in the market - they serve a diverse cross section of clients ranging from large corporations to high net-worth individuals. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY This role is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience within the Hamilton market due to their client base. They offer strong mentorship as well as a path to partnership. This firm is very well established in the Hamilton market with a very strong presence and clientele base. ABOUT THE POSITION You'll report directly to the partners who lead this team of about 6 lawyers and 5 support staff of varying experience levels. Work is hybrid and billables are very reasonable. The clients are diverse and duties range from, but are not limited to: 40% Estate litigation, 60% other Civil litigation work within a wide variety of clients proceedings and (private arbitrations related to shareholder and partnership disputes, real property disputes, claims for breaches of contract, injunctions, construction, negligence challenges to Wills and Powers of Attorney, as well as providing general civil and commercial litigation advice Billable target - 1250 + 150 non billable hours THE REQUIREMENTS 2+ years as a lawyer Called to the ON bar Experience with estates/civil/commercial litigation - construction, arbitration, shareholder disputes Diligent personality COMPENSATION Compensation will be competitive for the area, with opportunity to earn bonuses.
