Job Opportunity: Shipping Clerk Location: Caldari Rd / Locke St Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire (Permanent after 3 months) Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour (increased to $23.00 per hour after 3 months) Shift: Starts at 5:45 AM | 8-9 hour shifts for 1 month, then 12-hour shiftsJob OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our fast-paced warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing shipments, communicating with drivers, managing paperwork, and ensuring smooth shipping operations. This position offers growth potential, with increased pay after three months and the possibility of permanent hire.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process shipping documents accurately and promptly. Communicate with drivers via phone, providing directions and support. Coordinate shipments to ensure timely deliveries. Manage incoming and outgoing emails, responding to inquiries. Utilize RF scanners and inventory management software to track shipments. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and organizing materials. Operate a forklift (preferred but not required). Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols. Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Manage a $50 phone credit for communication expenses. Qualifications and SkillsPrevious experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Forklift license (preferred but not required). Excellent communication skills for interacting with drivers and teams. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with inventory management systems. Must be able to start shifts at 5:45 AM and transition to 12-hour shifts after the first month. Comfortable with physical tasks like lifting and organizing packages.
