Operations Manager - Children's Residential Services

Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Homes   We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational oversight across three well-established children’s homes in and around Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to make a meaningful impact on the quality of care provided to vulnerable children and young people.   Key Responsibilities: Ensure that each home operates within budgetary guidelines, optimising resources without compromising on quality care. Support with recruitment of Registered Home Managers, ensuring high-caliber professionals are selected to lead homes. Provide mentorship and guidance to home managers, fostering leadership skills and enhancing the quality of care delivered. Develop and implement internal quality assurance systems to ensure all homes meet and exceed regulatory standards. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and key stakeholders. Support the CEO in commissioning services and business development Ensure all homes adhere to Children’s Homes Regulations and other relevant statutory frameworks, maintaining high standards of safety and care. Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Proven experience in management roles within children’s residential care settings, demonstrating the ability to lead, inspire, and manage effectively. In-depth knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
