The Human Resources Business Partner plays an integral role in supporting the organization’s leaders in integrating Human Resources best practices and programs into their business. The HRBP provides full-spectrum Human Resource support ranging from employee/labour relations, leave management, workforce planning and talent management support to leaders. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing outstanding internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of HR strategies that improve employee engagement and retention, integration, productivity and business efficiency.
  • Provides advice and interpretation of HR policies, collective agreements, processes and procedures.
  • Provides in-depth support and advice on employee relations and acts as an intermediary/advisor between management and employees.
  • Advises and accompanies managers at all stages of performance management, conflict resolution, disciplinary measures and grievances.
  • Manages the claims aspect of workers' compensation files in collaboration with our external partner, site managers and the prevention team.
  • Identifies key trends in talent acquisition, including the latest digital technologies and networking strategies.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or human resources management combined with 5 to 10 years' experience in human resources management.
  • Member of the Ordre CRHA or HRPA.
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as HRIS/Payroll, Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience in developing and guiding line managers through change.
  • Ideally bilingual (French and English) to facilitate exchanges with our national our international colleagues, but French is not required outside of the province of Quebec.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work indoors, in an office with air conditioning and heating, where applicable.
  • Will be required to visit manufacturing plants with or around moving machinery/equipment.
  • Moderate level of occupational stress due to adapting to situations, meeting deadlines and managing workload.
  • Ergonomic workspace provided
  • This hybrid position, with a minimum of 3 on-site days per week, requires regular presence at our various sites, requiring availability to travel 10-25% of the time.
