Public Transport Association Australia New Zealand Head of Membership - Public Transport Association Australia New Zealand (PTAANZ) Are you passionate about making a positive impact on our community? Join the Public Transport Association Australia New Zealand (PTAANZ) as the Head of Membership, a dynamic role focused on member engagement and growth. Reporting to the Chief Executive and supporting the Head of Events and Partnerships and Head of Communications and Thought Leadership, this role is pivotal in delivering exceptional value to our government and industry members and for our community. Responsibilities: Member Engagement and Retention: Develop and maintain strong relationships with all members to ensure maximum engagement. Identify members' motivations and reasons for support, and tailor engagement strategies to meet their needs - using all levers of our organisation (our incredible Connected Choices policy work, our events and partnerships, podcast, overseas study tours and Emerging Mobility Leaders program). Track and compile detailed data on members, using AI and technology to enhance offerings and identify gaps. Promote event opportunities to enhance member value. Engage with members across all states, New Zealand, and overseas organisations. Membership Growth and Administration: Initiate new member onboarding processes. Oversee the administration of the member recruitment process, including renewal invoices and member notices. Support the Head of Partnerships in developing member retention strategies and communications. Maintain member contact lists and track member engagement. Strategic Initiatives, Member Communications and Reporting: Implement and improve the member engagement strategy based on survey feedback, member meetings and coordination with the PTAANZ leadership team. Support the PTAANZ Emerging Mobility Leaders Program – the industry’s leading young professionals program. Conduct membership strength assessments and review member tiers to optimise experiences. Develop and implement membership policies and manage the production of the monthly digital newsletter. Utilise data and technology to provide insights and reporting on member activities and interests and ensure data is used in the best way possible to deliver for members. Develop key member communications in consultation with the Head of Communications and Thought Leadership. Event Coordination and Support: Collaborate with the Events team to develop and manage a comprehensive events programme for maximum engagement. Support the Chief Executive and Head of Partnerships in engaging potential new members. What we can offer you: Flexible working conditions with a focus on collaboration and outcomes. About You: Experienced and Strategic: Proven track record in member or client engagement and retention. Knowledge of or previous experience in the public transport sector would be highly valued. Strong project management skills, capable of organising and overseeing multiple initiatives with a detail-focus. Strategic thinker with a “win-win” mindset to identify and seize opportunities for our members and key partners. Innovative - can think outside the box to deliver for stakeholders and our community. Comfortable engaging with people at a senior level across Australia, New Zealand and internationally. Experienced public speaker or willingness to give it a go when required. A team player that thrives in a small team with a can-do attitude. Adept at building relationships and engaging diverse stakeholders. Proficient with technology, including CRM systems and using technology to improve outcomes for members; able to recommend and implement improvements to PTAANZ’s digital systems.
