As manager of the local accounting team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the function and supporting 48 shops and Digital Fulfillment throughout the region.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & ComplianceTake ultimate responsibility for the monthly management accounts including P&L, BS and Cashflow.Prepare and review the monthly accounts commentary with support from the analysts.Lead the annual audit in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.Manage the accounting and FP&A team, upholding Lush's cultural values and promoting an environment of support, development, and leadership that aligns with our company ethos.Identify opportunities for growth and improvement in the finance discipline. Propose and recruit for potential new internal roles or changes in strategy when working with external partners.Manage the local cash-flow and report into the Group Treasurer as required.Manage all tax filings with support from local external accountants.Maintain balance sheet integrity by reviewing and approving reconciliations on a monthly basis.Continually review systems, processes, and reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to suggest ways to minimize loss, enhance controls, and improve profitability.Maintain, review and monitor internal Controls.FP&AProvide relevant financial insight and support to the local leadership team and participate in key meetings.Help to develop the leadership team's understanding of key financial data.Take ownership of the budgeting, forecasting and target setting process for shop sales and staffing alongside Retail Leadership.Support the business's operation strategies and investment options with a focus on ROI.Develop and maintain the pricing strategy in your market alongside Retail Leadership, taking direction from the Global Pricing Circle.Contribute to globally required reporting such as the MA reporting pack and business updates for your market.Proactively seek solutions to current or foreseeable issues.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.5-10 years experience in a similar role.Experience in the Retail sector preferred but not essential.Fluent in English.Strong knowledge of French GAAP.UK GAAP knowledge preferable.Understanding of French tax legislation preferred.Proficiency in financial software (Sage and Workday - Adaptive) and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience leading teams.Experience leading audit.Excellent communicator to financial and non-financial people.Provide accurate analysis and translation of key financial data.Evaluate commercial data effectively and communicate articulately to non-financial stakeholders.Influence decisions by using your financial “toolbox”.Knowledge of BI systems is preferred but not essential.Proactive and able to self-manage.Employee PerksBonus scheme.30% employee discount on Lush products and Lush Spa treatments.We’re 10% Employee Owned - all colleagues play a role in protecting our ethics, our independence, contributing ideas for the future and share in the rewards of success when the company is doing well.2 days of teleworking per week.Mutual insurance 100% covered.RTT. #J-18808-Ljbffr
