Job Requirements / Description
Post-doctoral fellow position at Institut Curie, Research Center, Paris.Inserm unit U932 – Immunity and CancerTeam – Integrative Analysis of T Cell ActivationThe “Integrative analysis of T cell activation” team (https://curie.fr/equipe/hivroz), headed by Claire HIVROZ, is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow to develop a project aimed at improving the efficacy of CAR-T cells.Research TopicThe “Integrative Analysis of T Cell Activation” team studies how intracellular signaling mechanisms regulate the immune response of T cells. Approaches are multidisciplinary, combining high-resolution fluorescence microscopy, biochemistry, cell biology, and mouse models. The team has extensive expertise in the analysis of signaling pathways induced by the TCR and its co-activators or co-inhibitors, and in the characterization of the immune synapse. The team’s aim is to build on this expertise to identify new molecular players and test their potential as immunotherapy targets. In this context, the team is studying how CAR signaling differs from TCR signaling. The candidate’s project will be in line with this study and will aim to:Characterize intracellular CAR signaling in T lymphocytes.Test new targets to make CAR-Ts more effective in tumor models. The candidate will also interact with the Myeloid Cells and Immunity team (https://curie.fr/equipe/benaroch).Research EnvironmentThe “Integrative analysis of T cell activation” team is one of the ten teams of the INSERM Unit U932 “Immunity and Cancer” (https://curie.fr/unite/u932). It is based at the Institut Curie, a leading cancer research and treatment center in France. The Institut Curie Research Center provides its researchers with 19 cutting-edge technological platforms grouped together within the CurieCoreTech network (https://institut-curie.org/dispatch/curiecoretech-core-facilities).The INSERM Unit U932 employs around 160 people. The Unit’s teams are working to better understand the immune responses, and to direct the immune system to better fight against pathogens and/or tumors. Research projects range from fundamental immunology to translational immunology and cancer immunotherapy.Training and expertiseThe candidate must hold a PhD in immunology or oncology. He/she must have experience in at least one of the following areas:OMIC analysis (transcriptomics, proteomics).Expertise in animal experimentation would be a plus.Language skills: Fluent English and good written and oral communication skills.Skills requiredTeam spirit is essential.Autonomous and proactive.Dynamic and curious. Please send a CV and letters of recommendation to [email protected]. #J-18808-Ljbffr
