Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor - all levels considered Location: Oldham Company Description: Our client is a leading specialist M&E contractor who operate within the critical infrastucture sector overseeing the installation of M&E services within data centre environments. With a strong commitment to delivering high-quality projects, they have established themselves as a key player in the industry and their portfolio includes a diverse range of projects & blue-chip clients. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide accurate estimates for construction projects. * Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial guidelines. * Collaborate with project teams to assess and mitigate potential risks related to cost and contracts. * Prepare and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. * Provide ongoing financial updates and reports to project stakeholders. * Conduct site visits to assess progress, identify variations, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. * Work closely with the project management team to optimize financial performance and achieve project objectives. Qualifications and Skills: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the building services sector. * Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes. NEC experience advantageous. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills. * Proficient in the use of relevant software tools for quantity surveying. * Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Salary and Benefits: The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary in the range of £55,000 to £65,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension contributions, and generous holiday allowances.
