Role Overview
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced full stack web developer to join our quick growing team. Our stack is written in Typescript and includes React, Node, and SQL, with a lot of backend/networking technical challenges. You’ll work very closely with engineers, business intelligence experts, and UI/UX designers to craft optimal solutions for our clients.
Note: This is a hybrid role for candidates in Canada willing to work in EST time zone. Preference for candidates in Ontario.
Salary Range: $115-150k (Exact compensation may vary).
Your Responsibilities
- Participate in design, coding, testing, debugging, configuration and documenting of softwaresolutions
- Find creative solutions to technical challenges as theyarise
- Proactively address product issues
- Learn new technologies and how to best apply them to NPX's clientchallenges
- Ensure code quality and work to minimize technical debt ofsolutions
- Develop and lead innovation projects
- Research new technologies and potential applications in the NuclearIndustry;
- Host or participate in hackathons and workshops aimed at process simplification, automation, and technologyimplementation;
- Lead initiatives to support charitable causes.
What you bring to the table?
- Experience building fast, visually appealing consumer facing, scalable web apps.
- Senior: 6-10years experienceoffull timeprofessional web development experience.
- Experience with people leadership and mentorship.
- Full Stack experience with specific focus on React, Node, Express, Material UI, Azure.
- Working knowledge with Typescript and Modern ES7 coding practice.
- A strong track record of functional programming
- Experience writing API endpoints and working with databases similar to PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB, etc.
- Experience writing tests in suites similar to Jest, Cypress, Enzyme, etc
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience with Networking and Security Compliance
- Understanding of modern CI/CD practices with technologies like Git, Github, and Github Actions
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.
- Must beeligibleto work in Canada.
- Bonus points if you have exposure to Machine Learning and experience with Maximo and ACE.
