Position Overview:As a member of the Human Resources department, this role will provide HR-related services to the business and is involved in several areas of HR. There is an emphasis on ensuring company-wide adherence to HR related programs. Key accountabilities include:•Implements and delivers policies, guidelines and procedures within the scope of responsibility. •Provides HR guidance and support to employees, supervisors, superintendent and management.•Manages employee performance programs i.e., progressive disciplines, attendance management and performance improvement programs.•Assist with managing the company's alcohol and drug program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing support and resources to employees.•Develop and implement strategies to integrate the HR vision, strategy, and priorities throughout the organization via strategic communication channels.•Investigates complaints and concerns related to workplace issues, including misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and violations of company policies.•Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives.•Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, databases and customized, in-house applications, to assemble, manipulate, format reports and complete analysis.•Advises on HR policies, procedures, and employment law matters.Requirements:The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses:•University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications or a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience.•3 years of relevant Human Resources experience in a mining (unionized and non-unionized) environment•Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.•The ability to research and draft company policies and procedures.•Requires limited degree of supervision.•Adapt to changing priorities and a high degree of accuracy/attention to detail•HR certification (CHRP, CPHR) will be considered an asset.We offer a competitive wage and bonus plan complemented by a comprehensive range of benefits.
