Senior Software Engineer, AWS Commerce Platform

As a senior software engineer in AWS Commerce Platform, you will work on complex engineering challenges in distributed systems at a massive scale. You will collaborate with talented teams, guide the engineering roadmap, and provide mentorship to other engineers. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying highly available and secure systems to manage confidential billing data. You will also contribute to team growth through hiring, and ensure architectural integrity, operational excellence, and timely delivery of results. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with other teams to deliver cross-platform features and prioritize customer security and performance. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of professional software development experience, strong programming skills, and experience in leading design or architecture of new and existing systems. A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
