Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Marketing, the Sr. Manager, Product Marketing is focused on driving margin solutions that will optimize the agricultural customer business. The product marketing team is responsible for providing product/service bundling solutions to our agricultural customer segment with a view to growing overall margins. This will require interfacing with (1) the sales force to show case the value proposition to agricultural customers, (2) working with the product strategy teams (inventory volume/costing considerations, pricing, and promotion), (3) finance (determine estimated/actual margins and performance reporting), (4) marketing (input into focused product promotions), and (5) provide insight into growth opportunities. Key Accountabilities: Strategically position UFA’s Product Brand through building processes, reporting and tools to support agricultural sales conversations. Reporting should provide an analytical yet simple view for the sales force to highlight UFA’s value proposition for the upcoming growing season and should allow us to leverage product/service offerings. Conduct research to define targeted customer segments, gather and aggregate margin information across ERPs to support pricing/discount structures and enable cross-selling opportunities. Partner with Marketing to ensure customer values are reflected in product brand and marketing materials Partner with sales team (Customer Account Managers) to review, analyze, and track sales leads, follow up on lost sales learnings, determine performance measures and guide them on what drives the optimal margin solution. Perform customer and segment level financial analysis to gain insights into opportunities to improve bundling offer, increase selling prices, decrease costs, sell more product, etc. Assist in building automated tools that provide quick analytics and enable holistic sales conversations. Work with product strategy and procurement teams to ensure inventory availability when extending bundled customer offers. Have view into facility and storage capacity needs and provide strategic insights into growth based on customer demand. Work with IT and related business process owners to develop performance tracking reporting and feedback tools that will allow for collaborative conversations on how to improve our agricultural customer margin. Ensure initiative reporting is timely and effective for all relevant stakeholders. Manage financial analysis into cost/returns from customer financing, discounted cash flow analysis to assess capital projects and/or leasing opportunities, sensitivity/scenario analysis, etc. Required Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or higher education in a related business field required. CPA, CFA, engineering, data science, etc. (analytical/process oriented) designation is preferred. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the agricultural industry or related business field. Proven leadership skills and track record managing teams of various disciplines. Experience in relevant ERPs and systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) considered an asset. Experience building reports in Power BI considered an asset. Experience performing various forms of analysis (customer and segment level financial analysis, wallet share analysis, discounted cash flows, etc.) preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with solid interpersonal and presentation skills.
