What is the opportunity?
RBC Dominion Securities is currently seeking an Investment Associate to join a large portfolio management team specialized in providing wealth management services to a sophisticated clientele. You will provide dedicated support to the portfolio management team on investment and money management activities.
What will you do?
Support the portfolio management team in general administrative duties in the management of client accounts
Request information and documentation from clients in order to keep client files up to date
Execute on trades as directed by the portfolio management team
Follow up on orders to ensure proper settlement and delivery
Review portfolios regularly
Rebalance portfolios with guidance from the portfolio management team
Manage risk dashboard, bulk trading, Investment Policy Statements (IPS), etc.
Review reports daily and process any necessary corrections and actions
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Post-secondary degree in finance or a related area of study
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience within the investment industry
Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Nice-to-have
Passion for investments, analysis, and portfolio management
Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
