In addition, you will contribute to the annual performance analysis process on a worldwide basis for the SCOR Business Solutions (SBS) portfolios and provide analytical support to the CUO SBS and Head of SBS by developing analytics to monitor performance, undertaking market studies and benchmarking exercises to identify opportunities. UW Plan for P&C The position holder under the guidance of the Head of UW Planning and Forecasting plays a very important role within SCOR P&C business. Your main responsibilities will be to: Support the Head of UW Planning and Forecasting to coordinate the production of the Underwriting Plan process (including data, process, tool, reporting and timeline) for SCOR P&C. Contribute to the UW Plan tool development for SCOR P&C by ensuring that the specific business needs are reflected in the design and implementation of the tool. Help to define business specifications of the tool to be developed by the Analytical Development and Analytical Data teams with specific focus on data quality. Ensure that the P&C UW Plan is compliant with Group’s new processes including Strategic Plan, High-level Plan, Reforecasting and Syndicate’s SBF and SBD deliverables and is based on a consistent methodology across all business units (Reinsurance, MGAs, SBS and Syndicate). Align the business planning (underwriting plan) with the performance monitoring metrics (technical metrics, IFRS 17 metrics) and with the financial planning (operating plan) defined by Finance. Business steering and analytical insights Under the guidance of the Head of UW Planning and Forecasting, the role holder will also: Provide support to the annual performance analysis process on a worldwide basis for the SBS (Single Risk) portfolios. Contribute to the quarterly performance reviews of the SBS and Syndicate business. Give business insights and analyses to identify deviations from the planned, trends and drivers of the performance. Support the CUO SBS and Head of SBS by developing analytics to monitor performance, undertaking market studies and benchmarking exercises to identify opportunities. Contribute to establish the one source of truth within P&C for all business performance metrics produced for the P&C CEO, CUO and P&C Management. Help the UW functions with the information required for regulators, internal procedures, marketing actions, reporting to reinsurers/retrocessionaires etc. Contribution to analytical tools and proper data In addition, you will be in charge to: Follow the guidance of the Head of UW Planning and Forecasting to harmonize the plan and renewal processes across the business divisions of P&C and across different regions. Improve the analytical toolkit and methodologies used to assess and control the P&C business performance activity by way of consistent dashboards and aggregation tools. Ensure underwriting data is fit for analysis. Improve data accuracy and process efficiency, automating wherever possible and investigating tech solutions. Required experience & competencies 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector, in a technical function (actuarial, modelling or underwriting support) is a must. Actuarial background is preferred. Superior analytical skills with strategic thinking and abilities to synthesize and present to others. IT skills including programming (e.g. SQL, Python or R) is a plus. Ability to interact with stakeholders both locally in London and globally in a multicultural environment. Good team player, ability to develop network, internally and externally. Required Education We are looking for a highly skilled technical person with a quantitative background (e.g. Bachelor/Master of Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science etc.). Data scientist or actuarial background are main assets. Further insurance or financial-related studies are desirable.
