Deputy Nursery Manager

Nursery Deptuy Manager Permanent Full Time - 36-40 hours per week £25+ annual salary TeacherActive are currently recruiting for a Nursery Deputy Manager who is self driven, enthusiastic and has professional expertise in the childcare sector.  We are looking for an experienced individual, with either previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Room Leader. The successful applicant must have a Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years Childhood Care, Learning and Development, have at least 2 years experience and preferably have had experience of being in a leadership role. The Deputy Manager is required to: To Support the Manager in the day-today running of the nursery and cover when Manager absent Be a Room Leader for one of the Nursery age groups. Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment To provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group To help manage the team effectively, to agree and set team goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets. To fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a daily basis. To monitor and assess the quality of provision, ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained. To communicate and liaise with parents/ carers professionally. You will need to: Have a minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification or above (such as NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce), or equivalent qualification Have at least 2 years Nursery work experience. Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFP Good knowledge and understanding of CIWW, policies and regulations Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative Have good communication skills In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide the highest standards of childcare. The working hours are up to 40 hours per week, shift patterns from 7:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful Nursery Deputy Manager will be paid £25k per annum!
