The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components and parts. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of machining processes.

- £12.00 - £16.00ph (dependant on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC machines including loading raw materials, tooling, and fixtures.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each machining operation.
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and equipment.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
- Familiarity with software such as Adobe Illustrator and Solid works
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with machining materials such as metals, plastics, or composites preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and machining processes.
