Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Full-time role - Secondary SEN School in Greenwich - £110+ per day - HLTA opportunity ASAP Start * Monday to Friday * 8.30am-4pm * SEN Setting / Classroom based role * £110+ per day * CPD and Professional development * Greenwich - South East London * MUST have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Qualification (Level 4) The Role - HLTA As a HLTA, you will be responsible for supporting and leading students with a mixture of needs across different learning abilities and areas. The students primarily have ASD (Autism) as well as other addition needs. You will be a positive role model to the students you work with providing and creating a safe learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and delivering engaging activities and support academically. You will need to be resilient, nurturing and calm. Within this HLTA role, it is imperative that you remain professional at all times. You will supervise and deliver work/ lessons and activities, outreach community activity support and more. Training for positive handling and de-escalation is offered by the school where required This role entales whole class & group support as well as supporting teachers and other HLTAs across various subjects. The School - HLTA This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role is at a Special Academy for students with complex, low incidence special educational needs. They are a well established and very experienced local provider of quality specialised education provision and cater for young people with complex conditions including ASD. All students have a ECHP The school has great transport links across London - Overground, and local bus routes all within walking distance. The school is surrounded by green leafy and historic areas, local community shops and has free local parking.
